Fresh Faces Model Search Contest 2010 {Winston-Salem Children Photographer}

You think your child is model material?  Do you have a super sassy child who loves the camera?  If so, now is your chance to have some really rocking and modern photos taken of your child.  I am building my commercial portfolio and seeking some fresh faces to represent Cindy McFarland Photography.  So here is how it is going to work:

1. Email your best snap shot of your child to cindy@cindymcfarland.com.  Please include your child’s name and age, your phone number and email address.  Please do not send professional photos…snap shots only.  If you are entering more than one child please send individual photos of each child.  Photos should be recent (taken within the last 3 months). 

2. Submissions may be made January 23, 2010 until February 23, 2010

3. Within a week of deadline I will post 10 finalists on my blog (finalists will be chosen by a group of amateur and professional photographers). 

4. Voting will be open to the general public for one week so tell your friends and family to vote for your little one. 

5. The three contestants with the most votes will WIN and I will announce the winners on March 5th here on my Blog. 

Each winner will receive:

A complimentary photo session, 2-8×10 prints, 3-5×7 prints and 4-4×6 prints.  By entering you agree that I will have complete creative control over the session.  I will personally buy the clothing for each child based upon the look I am trying to achieve.  All that and you even get to keep the outfit!  I will pick the location, clothing, hair style, everything!  You must be willing to travel to the Winston-Salem area for the session. 

Parents are welcome, but not obligated, to purchase additional prints.

All winners’ parents must sign a model release.  The purpose of this contest is to find “Fresh Faces” and images will be used for marketing and promotional material.

Dave and Stephanie’s Wedding

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Dave and Stephanie’s wedding  in December.  They both love Christmas so the theme was very fitting.  They married on the anniversary of their first date…how romantic!  Both bride and groom are amazingly sweet people and I am excited to share some of their awesome pics. 

$150.00 Mini-sessions

I am now booking mini-sessions for weekends in January, February and March.  A mini session can be maternity, family, baby, children, high school senior or any other kind of session!  $150.00 will get you a 25 minute custom photography session.  You will receive 15-20 edited high-resolution photos on a disc to print yourself.  Sessions can be done at the outdoor location of your choice or if you are stumped…I have lots of ideas!  Sessions are being booked on available weekends and can also be scheduled for weekdays.  Email me at cindy@cindymcfarland.com for more information.

Lori and Don’s Beach Wedding

I have not posted in FOREVER!!!!  I am going to try my best to do better!  Things have been pretty hectic but I wanted to share a few from this really neat wedding.  I met Lori at a wedding that I did and she is an awesome person.  She and Don got married at Hilton Head, SC.  The scenery was amazing and we got a chance to venture out to nearby locations to take some additional photos the day after the wedding.  It was raining but we got some awesome rain photos! 

Great Idea for Save the Date Cards that you can make yourself!!!!

I am now in love with Moo cards!!!  Have you seen them?  They are these tiny cards that you can personalize anyway you like.  They are super cute and unique so people would definitely keep these little things!  I saw lots of ideas on their website that I wanted to pass along to brides and anyone else that may be interested.  I know I am going to be using some Moo cards for my upcoming bridal show.  I just received mine and they are awesome!!!  The quality of the card way exceeded my expectations.  So check out this link for some cool ideas.

Jarred & Natalie’s Wedding

This is one of those couples that I felt like I really got to know and they were so much fun to work with.  Natalie had an amazing dress that was truly her and there were little telling pieces of their personality everywhere.  It is evident from the photos that both Jarred and Natalie have an awesome sense of humor and zest for life.  From the moment of our first consult I knew you guys were going to be very memorable.  I am not sure I will ever laugh as much again!  If I could shoot this couple every day I would!  So here you go….enjoy this sneak peak!  I know you guys will have an amazing life together.  Congratulations and never forget your super hero abilities

Kalan & Kevin’s Wedding

This was one of the prettiest weddings I have photographed.  I loved the colors and outdoor weddings are my absolute favorite!  Of course, I loved the couple.  The wedding was sotouching and I cried…am I ever going to get used to these things?  I wish I had this bride’s decorating sense…she did an awesome job with all her creative ideas.  So here are a few from Kevin and Kalan’s wedding at Tanglewood.  Congratulations! 

 

Lynn & Mark

This engagement session was lots of fun and included a really cool car!  I have always wanted to include a car so this was a new thing for me!  We had a cool car, they climbed a tree…can we say adventurous???  I am looking forward to working with them again for bridals and the wedding!  Congrats Lynn and Mark…I enjoyed every minute of our session!
